First the good-
-Position tracking of platter is great. Scratching has no rubber banding, which is the problem with 90% of DJ apps.
-FX are really good sounding. REALLY good sounding.
-Pretty much every feature you would expect to see is there
The bad-
-The user interface (iPhone) is FAR too packed. Way too easy to get lost in a sub menu
-Cue snap is on by default, making it hard to set cues for proper cue juggling unless you turn it off, as the grid will often times kick you back to same kick/snare as you try to cue different elements. You have to go into the setup menu to turn off….why?
-Landscape mode gives no feedback of what you are doing in other sections, so if you are in a loop for instance and go to the FX section, you dont SEE you are in a loop
The good far outweighs the bad though, and this is an amazing first release. It is the first "traditional" format DJ app that actually provides competition to DJay (not counting Future Decks and Meta.DJ here, which are more non-traditional in format).
