DJ Rig App Reviews

No good

Needs auto mix and time left on song. Sometimes when adding song it will just shut down and you have to restart Program , not too good when doing a live dance set . Best bet just buy djay cheaper and it works . Dont waste your time and money on this one.

Still needs work

Launched OK the first time. I played around with it for about 5 minutes. Couldnt close the app down after. Ended up powering off my phone and rebooting it. Second launch seemed as if it hung with a black display, but after a minute or so, it appeared. Im guessing its very demanding on memory. Ill have to read up on it to figure out how it works though. I have an iPhone 4S with the latest iOS update.

Sooo Not Impressed.

This Is Supposed To Be PRO Quality And To That I Say Yeah Right It Constantly Crashes Out Of No Where And Constantly Deletes Your Tracks When Doing So... For The Amount Of Money I Paid For This App I As Im Sure All Other Buyers Are Expect A Pretty Hefty Update. Fix The Cues They Make The Song Skip Repeatly Like A CD Would, Also You Cant Deactivate Syncing And A Music Player Would Be Good Time So After Recording You Could Pin Point Errors Made, So Much Potential In This App I Have High Expectations For The Next (Hopefully Soon) Update, Also A Search Bar Would Be VERY USEFUL To Look Through An Entire Library Of Music... If You Expect Me To Buy The Mixer For This For Another 100 Bucks I Expect This App To Work To Its Full Potential The $1 Djing App Is Better Perform And More Maintained Than This Get It Together...

Pretty cool party app

Just got the irig mixer and have a lot of fun right off the box with this app. But this needs an automix for playlists and to be able to get out the app without stopping the music (the djay app has both options...)

Irig

PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP!!!!!

This app needs to be updated so it will work on iPhone 6 or 6 Plus! I even bought the mixer that goes with it. Unless it gets updated, its a total waste of time and money. How do I get my money for this PIECE OF ISH???

Wy only por iPhone

wy you dont make it pro iPad

A great first release, now where do we go from here?

IKs newest app, DJ rig, is designed for use with their newest product, the iRig MIX. However, this app has potential to be used apart from its companion hardware. For $7 (including the in-app purchase for the "pro bundle") you get 12 FX, a 3 band EQ (which doesnt completely kill sound when set to minimums D:) two decks 4 cue points and an advanced sync function that is (in theory) able to line up your beats perfectly. Some features, such as the X Sync function, I havent tested because I dont have the requisite hardware (an iRig mix) but I will update this review once Ive tried it. Some cons: the sync button very rarely gets my beats lined up (I mostly play dubstep, which has some tricky beats, so Im not too surprised. It works very well with 4/4 electronic music though) Also, the search function is very slow (and I do mean VERY slow) on an iPad 1 Lastly theres no iPad version, but as I understand that will be corrected for future versions

Crap!!!

Dont buy this!!! It is not worth the money!!!

Really good first effort

First the good- -Position tracking of platter is great. Scratching has no rubber banding, which is the problem with 90% of DJ apps. -FX are really good sounding. REALLY good sounding. -Pretty much every feature you would expect to see is there The bad- -The user interface (iPhone) is FAR too packed. Way too easy to get lost in a sub menu -Cue snap is on by default, making it hard to set cues for proper cue juggling unless you turn it off, as the grid will often times kick you back to same kick/snare as you try to cue different elements. You have to go into the setup menu to turn off….why? -Landscape mode gives no feedback of what you are doing in other sections, so if you are in a loop for instance and go to the FX section, you dont SEE you are in a loop The good far outweighs the bad though, and this is an amazing first release. It is the first "traditional" format DJ app that actually provides competition to DJay (not counting Future Decks and Meta.DJ here, which are more non-traditional in format).

So far, so good...

Everything works great, and Im sure this could be really good once I learn how to use it; but the packed UI prevents the ease of doing anything flawlessly. I often get lost in menus, and the fact that it doesnt transfer the menu when you switch orientation makes things bothersome. Also, an actual timer would be nice; one where you can see both the time taken and the time left in the song so you dont need to switch to the waveform view to know when to cue the next song. Either that, or make the waveform view omnipresent. Also, I think the expansion is a bit overpriced for the small amount of content it gives you. Other than some small annoyances, though, this app is very good for the initial price!

Very Buggy, Crashes, cluttered interface Non-Native to iPad

For $1.99 I thought how could you go wrong. Well you can! First off all the videos on their site show it in use on an iPad and it does run on the ipad but not as a native app, got to hit the x2 to view those up-rezed graphics. I have run this on the iPad and each time I have to completely re-install the app. FIrst time a fluke , 2nd and 3rd time its a problem. You have to register it (or they wont let you see the manual) so they can send you their newsletter every few days. Oh each time you have to reinstall it you need to re-register. There are many nice features in this program but the over populated interface makes them hard to use. Some features will require the $99 hardware interface to test out, its pre-order only. It can access your library but if you have iMatch then you have lots of files to go through that say "DRM" and they cant be selected but they do take up space in the list. No song timers available so to determine the end is only a visual waveform. This could be a great app, once they make it native to the ipad / uncluter the GUI/ stop the crashing and lock ups etc.

Worked perfect now freezes

What gives?

Dont got it

Was fine until I tried to load from iTunes the first time, after that freeze crash restart freeze crash restart etc. iTunes or not. If I had my $1.99 back I could get a fly swatter and a candy bar or half gallon of gasoline..

Waste of money

Crash & freeze... then repeat.

From FumbleFingers to MagicTouch

INCREDIBLE . . . to have the power of entertainment in the palm of your hand, all for such a small investment . . . it makes the iPhone a new dimension in party central.

Not working for my iPhone 4

This app is a thief it keeps freezing up on me.I feel like I got robbed.

Great!

Its pretty cool! I cant wait to try it out natively on the iPad and with the Mixer!

Do not buy

Worst app every do not buy its a wast

Junkie but potential

I installed this app and now its crashed. I installed the propack for yet more money and now the app wont load past the main screen. I will reload it and see if that repairs it but I shouldnt have to TS with it being on my iPhone4s for only 30 hours. Well, reinstall worked. Still unhappy. its so clunky to use and equalizer blows
